ABOUT

The Villas at Little Good Harbour are in the Parish of St Peter in the quaint and tranquil fishing village of Shermans.  Our property is just north of Speightstown on the beautiful west coast of Barbados and 45 minutes from the airport. We have two 2 bedroom villas and a 3 bedroom villa surrounding a central pool with pool bar, BBQ and dining area. Our villas are across the street from the lovely Fish Pot Restaurant and the stunning Little Good Harbour beach seen in the picture below. There are several other beaches within walking distance including Heywood's and Nikki Beach.

Speightstown, is a short bus ride or walk down the road, and has a beautiful beach, a number of fun beach bars which offer live music on different nights of the week and several restaurants serving local fish and island specialties. There is also a cafe, bakery, grocery store, drug store, art gallery and shops that offer various other amenities. There are plenty of local rum shops and a fish market at Six Men's less than 5 minutes away.

The villas are perfect for that relaxation vacation with just enough night life and fine dining to help you wind down. They can be rented separately but would also be perfect for a group of 12 -14 people, family or friends.

Little Good Harbour Beach across the street from the villas has a small reef with good snorkelling.

The daytime high temperatures in Barbados range between 28 - 31 degrees celsius (82 - 88 Fahrenheit) all year round. There is usually a cooling breeze off the sea keeping you quite comfortable. The Barbadian people, known as Bajans, are also known for their friendly, easygoing nature. Barbados was granted full independence from Britain in 1966, however still maintains close ties with the country and is a member of the Commonwealth.

Barbados is a coral island  different from many of the volcanic islands of the Caribbean  Its beaches are made of beautiful white sand and its drinking water is filtered naturally by the coral make up of the island. Its telecommunications network, banking network and healthcare system are excellent.  There are a multitude of historic and scenic places to visit, from the rugged beauty of  the North Point to St Nicholas Abbey, an active rum distillery still making rum using traditional methods. Entertainment is plentiful as is fine dining. There are many things to do including sporting events, festivals, the horse races, polo, day cruises on the water, and fishing expeditions.

SEE & DO

THINGS TO DO

THE FISH POT
RESTAURANT

Serves breakfast lunch and dinner 7 days a week. All you have to do is walk across the road for your meal a delicious rum punch (or any other drink you fancy).

LITTLE BRISTOL, SPEIGHTSTOWN

This is one of our favourite spots.  It’s very casual and the staff is very friendly.  They have happy hour on Wednesday and Friday and  a selection of drinks are half price. They have live music on Fridays and sometimes Wednesdays.  It’s usually hopping!

ST. NICHOLAS ABBEY SUGAR CANE PLANTATION AND RUM DISTILLERY

This is an interesting place to visit that combines some history about the island and sugar cane/rum industry and a visit to a beautiful property.

You can go and see the sugar cane being crushed in a traditional fashion, have a rum punch and taste some of the rums.  It’s a lovely setting.

CATAMARAN CRUISES

This is a fun day out on a catamaran.  Usually including a delicious Bajan meal and an open bar. There is snorkelling with sea turtles, diving on a wreck, a nice sail up the West Coast and back. Transportation to and from the boat is usually included in the price.

ANIMAL FLOWER CAVE

Is located at the very northern tip of the island which offers spectacular dramatic views to the north and down the east coast. There are caves that you can visit.  These caves have been carved out of the rock by the waves over many many years. You even have a chance to swim in a pool in one of the caves.

BOTTOM BAY

Bottom Bay is a stunning secluded little piece of paradise!  It is located on the southern part of the east coast.  It is a great place for a picnic and body surfing. It is well worth the trip but be careful. If it's too wavy there can be undertows.  There will likely be only a handful of people on the beach
